Class Participation Presentation - Week 9 - Sets 6, 38 & 47

Good day everyone,

Referring to the subject of this post, you need to work in your assigned groups and do a presentation on the assigned topic.

You do not need to submit an outline for this presentation.

The requirements are:

1) Prepare a presentation about 15-25 minutes in length on the assigned topic with your group members.

2) Each person in your group presents an aspect on the topic based on information that you've found and read. It is recommended that you read at least from 6 different sources.

3) It is recommended that you prepare a PowerPoint presentation of 6 (min) - 12 (max) slides on your topic in order for the audience to clearly follow your presentation.

Project Proposed Topics and Project Procedures - Group Work - Sets 6,38 & 47

Good day everyone,

The topics that you have given to me after the discussion with your group members are the proposed topics for your project.

You need to finalize it by Week 5 after taking into consideration the number of articles that you have found for your topic. The topic with the most articles on it is the easier one to do.

In your respective group, you need to search for at least 6 articles to support your topic.
(3 for the first item and 3 for the second item)

 The articles must be at least 800 - 1500 words in length for each article.

Articles can come from books, magazines, newspapers, websites/blogs,thesis,etc.

Project Procedures:
1) Submit outline of the project on Week 6.
The outline consists of a minimum of 3 pages: a) cover page b)The outline itself  c)Reference list

2) Submit the first draft of the full essay based on your outline in Week 8.
The full essay consists of in-text citations as well as a cover and a references page.
It should be typed, double-spaced and use Times New Roman 12 as its main font in the essay.

- The essay should be about 5(min) - 10(max) pages in length, not including the reference page.

3) Submit the final draft after taking into account and making the necessary changes to the first draft based on comments that you receive from me in Week 10.

4) You'll be doing a presentation on it in Week 12.
The presentation should be about 15-20 minutes long per group. It is recommended that you use PowerPoint and the number of slides for it should not be more than 12. However, you are free to choose other presentation methods as well according to your creativity.

Information Sharing Requirements - Sets 6, 38 & 47 - Group work

Good day everyone,

Below are the requirements for Information Sharing:

1. Each group member searches for two articles on the topic assigned. The articles must be at least 800 - 1500 words in length for each article.

The  sources of the articles are: books, magazines, newspapers, academic journals, websites/blogs, thesis, etc.

Each group member must make sure that they have articles from different sources. Not just one.

2. The articles (both articles) should be brought to class next week (Week 4) on Meeting 2 for your respective set.

3. You'll be doing a PowerPoint presentation of not more than 10 slides (Min: 6 slides) on the assigned topic and in your PowerPoint slide it must answer the following questions:

a) What is (your topic)?
Provide at least two definitions from different sources.

b) Who uses (your topic)?
Provide at least two kinds of users.

c) Why is (your topic) used?
Provide at least two reasons.

d) When is (your topic) used?
Provide at least two situations.

e) Where can one obtain (your topic)?
Provide at least two locations.

f) How is (your topic) developing from its creation and what are its future outlook?
Provide at least two explanations on both its development as well as its future developments.

 - Your slides must contain the use of in-text citations as well as an end slide with the list of references used/consulted.

4. You'll be submitting an outline for the Information Sharing presentation on Week 5 Meeting 2 for your set to my mailbox at PPU.


5. You'll be presenting this on Week 7 according to the assigned dates which will be mentioned later on.

6. The presentation should be about 15 - 20 minutes in total for each group and every group member needs to present, no exceptions.
